She was predeceased by: her father Rastus Lawrence; her husband Tennyson "Tink" Taylor; her sons, Michael Dean George and Chad Lawrence Taylor; and her siblings, Clarence, James, Marvin, Dallis George, Norma Ratliff and Charlotte Wade.
She is survived by: her siblings, Gary George Sr. of Campbells Creek, Gladia White of Campbells Creek and Darla Bland (Mike) of Seville, OH; her nieces, Sheri "Miss Piddle" Hardy, Lynae "Nae Nae" Stone and Linda "Lindy Lou" Baria; her grandchildren, Lori Brown and Joseph Taylor; and her great grandchildren, Michael and Reagan.
Although Verna loved flowers and they are appreciated the family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Grace Freewill Baptist Church at 289 Eight Mile Hollow Road, Charleston, WV 25306 or Kanawha Hospice Care Kanawha 1606 Blvd. W, Charleston, WV 25387.
