He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul McHugh and Melba McHugh. He is survived by: his wife Judy; his children, Karen McHugh (John Morehouse), Cindy McHugh (Mark Henderson), James McHugh (Marianna McHugh) and John McHugh (Greta McHugh); his grandchildren, Heather McHugh (Andrew Vandenberg), Kati Whyard (Jordan Whyard), Tom Reckard, Grace McHugh (Tim Rant), Olivia McHugh, Jameson McHugh (Samaria McHugh) and Meredith McHugh; his great grandchildren, Jackson Whyard and Savanah Whyard; his sister Sandra Buckalew (Wayne Buckalew); his niece Lisa Sayre (Tim Sayre); and his great-niece Kerri Canterberry (David Canterberry).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Basilica of the Co-Cathedral (1114 Virginia St E, Charleston, WV 25301). A prayer will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
