She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis Caruthers and Louise Caruthers; and her brother Johnny. She is survived by: her husband Edward Powell; her daughters, Suzette Meshele Banks and Deana Banks; her grandchildren, Blake Austin Banks and Victoria Brooke Jeffries; her brothers, Larry (Carol), Freddy (Pam), Monte (Sherry), Paul, Rodney (Vicky) and Robert (Betty); her parents-in-law, Robert and Ann Scarbro; and her cousin Donna Bennett. She is also survived by friends and wonderful neighbors.
