He was predeceased by: his son Troy Burford; and his parents, Cecil Burford and Dorothy Spears Burford. He is survived by: his wife Sue Moore Burford; his son Ed Burford (Joy); his grandsons, Dylan, Dru and Cameron Burford; and his siblings, Debbie Wooten (Mike) and Jeff Burford (Terri). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
