He is survived by: his children, Tabatha Marie Gaten, Stephen Michael Gaten and Brittany Nicole Gaten of Charleston; his grandchildren, Ryan Moses Scarberry, Christian Allen White, William Rhett Haynes, Alexis Michelle Gaten and Saydee Desiree Winnell; and his siblings, Leo Gaten, Judy Stuart, William Gaten, Susan Chumsantivut, Theresa Gaten, Kevin Gaten, Neal Gaten and Ann Marie Brewster. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
