It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon E. Smithson Peay of Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away on July 7, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Middleton and Helen Suella Wiend Middleton; and her siblings, Bill, Jack, Bob, Gary Middleton, Teresa Tyler, Kathleen Stout and Betty Walker.
She is survived by: her children, Dale Smithson (Darlene) of Carolina Beach, NC and Beth Henson (Steve) of Charleston; her grandsons, Brandon Smithson (Ashley) of Texas, Bryce Smithson (Jamie Hobbs) of Wilmington, NC, Matthew Henson (Rebecca Hunter) of Charleston and Myles Henson of Charleston; her great grandchildren, Charlee, Tatum Smithson of Texas and Brody Henson of Charleston; her brother Ted Middleton of St. Albans; and also, Sherry Surface and Scott Casdorph of Hospice. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice.
