It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Louise Simms of Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away on February 12, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Georgia Burton and A. Hugh Burton, Sr.; her husband Cecil Simms; her siblings, Lois Johnson and A. Hugh Burton, Jr.; and her son Jerry Simms.
She is survived by: her brother Charles Burton of Belton; her daughter Marie Dawson of St. Albans; and her grandsons, Dale Dawson (Tara) of Charleston and Christopher Dawson (Georgiana) of Hamlin. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
