He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carter and Helen Carter; and his brother Richard Carter (Doris). He is survived by: his wife Lena Carter; his children, Benjamin Tod Carter, Brian Carter and Tina Huffman (Douglas); and his siblings, Robin Hammack (John), Randall (Peggy) and Ronald Carter (Jeannie).
