He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert A. Robertson and Helen Robertson of Charleston, WV; his former wife Phyllis Good of Dunbar; and his wife Ruby Church. He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Johnston of Wilmington, NC and Beverly Jobst (Joe) of Dunbar, WV; his grandchild Dale Robertson of Camp Hill, PA; his stepchildren, George Church (MD), Chris Poole (MD), Kathy Post (MD) and Margaret Dillon (IL); and his grandchildren, Bobby Johnston, Taylor Johnston, Anna Weir (Boston), Joey Jobst (Cathy), Jerod Jobst (Shea), Sydney Robertson and Thomas Robertson.
In lieu of flowers he requested a donation be made to either Union Mission Ministries or Mountain Mission.
