He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Dennis Smith and Mary M. Smith; and his sister Mary A. Smith. He is survived by: his wife Isabelle C. Smith of Charleston; his children, Edward L. Smith of Dunbar, Robin Weyer of Minnesota and Debbie Taylor of Sissonville; his grandchildren, Eric, Tiffany, Harley and Jason; and his brothers, Franklin and John Smith.
