He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Fields and Anne Harper Fields; and his brothers, Roger Songer, Tony Fields and Sam Fields.
He is survived by: his children, Andrew Shaffer of North Charleston, SC and Autumn Meadows (Joey); his grandson Vinny; his adoptive daughters, Kelsey Williams (Brandon) of Charleston and Brandi Betts Morgantown; and his siblings, Kevin Fields (Cheryl) of St. Albans, Rick Songer of Elkview, Donna Smith (Brian) of Kenna and Phyllis Harrah (John) of Charleston. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In honor of Rob, donations may be made to the Pleasant Valley Food Pantry at Bethel Baptist Church, 640 Pleasant Valley Road, Given, WV 25245.
