It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Reid Comer Jr. of Charleston, West Virginia, born in Bethesda, Maryland, who passed away on November 2, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Reid (Stewart) and Richard Reid; his grandparents, Mary Mildred (Schultz), Richard Hewitt Stewart, Sr., Rana (Gibbs) and Hobart Reid Comer; his brother Bill; his parents-in-law, Margaret and Raymond White, Sr.; and his brothers-in-law, Raymond White, Jr. and Chuck Giebell.
He is survived by: his wife Kitty; his sons, Brent of South Charleston and Brian of Charleston; and his sisters, Linda Hyder of Garner, Susie Mullins (Chris) of Louisville and Karen Perkins (Andy) of Pennsboro. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
