With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Moore of Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away on September 26, 2020 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Samuel Moore and Alice Rayburn Moore; and his son-in-law Matthew Parsons. He is survived by: his children, Rene Moore Graves, Kristi Mallett (Dana) and Michael Moore (Dorse); his grandchildren, Shelby Harold (Keith), Cameron Klem, Preston Graves and Jocelyn Mallett; his great grandchild Dawson Harold; his siblings, Samuel Moore (Sally), Judy Ferguson (Dave) and Dave Moore; and his former wife Mary Lou Moore. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

“To all the elder Moores, who were such a feature of my childhood--I will miss Dick very much. He always kept the attachment going, and whenever I was in town he made a point of getting together for lunch. I was happy to cook dinner for Dick and Dave on my last two visits. To his children and grandchildren: Dick loved you all and was proud of you. He told many tales of being a soccer coach for you and your friends. Coaching was a peak experience for him. God bless you, Dick.”
