He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Hugo Golden and Roberta Golden of Virginia; his wife Belle W. Golden; his siblings, Patricia Golden Seaton and Donald H. Golden, Jr.; his nieces, Judy and Carol Golden; and his nephew John Seaton.
He is survived by: his son Philip (Julianne); his grandson Joshua; his daughter Ellen Golden (Mike Frye); his granddaughter Heather Curtis (James); his great grandchild Odin Curtis; his stepgrandsons, J. P. and Justin Swanson (Roxana); and also, Katlyn, Olivia, Jordan, Bella and Zelda.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to First Presbyterian Church, Charleston, or to First Presbyterian Church notating FBO (for the benefit of) Boy Scout Troop 5, sponsored by First Presbyterian, same address as above.
