He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Helene; and his brother William "Bill" Sherman. He is survived by: his wife Helen G. Sherman of Charleston, W. V; his siblings, John Sherman of Broomfield, Colo., David Sherman of New Port Richey, Fla. and Lorretto Sherman Reifel of Centennial; and his children, Jennie Hill (Greg), Martinsburg, Ritchard J Sherman (Colleen), N. J., Betty Newell (Mike), N. C., Mary S. Wall, S. C. Known, Ethan, Emily, Adrienne Sherman, Mimi Newell Knight (Trey), Zachary Newell and Genie Wall.
Ironically, his good physical health and intellect were confounded by the scourge of memory impairment due to Alzheimer's Disease.
