Richard Scott Bartlett Obituary

Richard S. Bartlett, age 55, a resident of Charleston, WV, formally a resident of Philippi left this life, on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at his home in Charleston, his death was sudden and unexpected. He was born on November 2, 1966, in Marietta, OH, a son of the late Richard and Charlotte (Reed) Bartlett. Richard is survived by two daughters, Miranda Bartlett and Angelica Bartlett, former wife and best friend, Julie "Jewels" Bartlett, two stepsons, Kevin Hemsworth and wife, Taylor, and Stephen Hemsworth, two stepdaughters, Jessica Hudson, and Ashley Hemsworth, two grandsons, Sebastian Bartlett, and Tanner Hudson, two granddaughters, Lily Bartlett, and Destiny Hudson. Mr. Bartlett was a Pentecostal by faith, he had green thumb and loved to grow plants and flowers. He loved to cook and grill food always making sure his guest didn't go away hungry. Rick was a jack of all traits and a mastered all of them. He was a hard worker and had worked as a manager for Capital Fresh Seafood of Charleston. Family and friends will be received at the Mary's Chapel Cemetery, Philippi on Friday December 17, 2021, from 12:30 pm until 1 pm. A graveside service will be conducted 1 pm with the Rev. David "Cowboy" Brown officiating. Interment will follow. The Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi is honored to be assisting the Barlett Family with the arrangements.
