He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Asseff and Malika Asseff; his siblings, Sheffica Bryant, Victoria Yerrid, Sheffek Asseff and Victor Asseff; and his brother-in-law Andy Yerrid.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Miller Asseff; his sister Julia Caren of Beverly Hills, California; his children, Philip A. Asseff of South Charleston, Dani R. Asseff (Christian Toney) of Charleston, Kimber L. Asseff (Paul E. White) of Charleston and Deborah Withrow (Marsha Heim) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Alexander White, Kaelyn Asseff and Christina Scarberry (Travis); his great grandchildren, Logan Scarberry and Alexa Scarberry; and his siblings-in-law, Frances Asseff and Ronald Miller (Kay) of Florida. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
