With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peggy Louise Thaxton of Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away on January 31, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Thaxton and Alma Thaxton; and her husband Okey Raymond Thaxton. She is survived by: her children, Cindy Rucker of Charleston, WV, Necia Thaxton of Charleston, WV, Sherry Kinder of Charleston, WV, Scott Thaxton of Charleston, WV and Craig Thaxton (Judy) of California; her brother Grant Thaxton Sr. (Judy) of Culloden, WV.; her daughter Tammy Gail Thaxton; and her siblings, Calvert Buck Thaxton, Bernice Stewart, Anita Mae Wolfe, Naomi Myers, Suzie Officer, Virginia Byrd (Jenny) and Margie McLane. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great granddaughters.
