With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Paul William Shannon of Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away on December 5, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. William T. Shannon and Nancy Shannon; his brother Bob Shannon; and his brother-in-law Raymond Cowan. He is survived by: his wife Donna Shannon (Beane); his daughters, Tawney Parsley (Mark) of Charlotte, NC and Nikki Boggs (Ritchie) of Charleston, WV.; his siblings, Ruth Cowan and John Shannon (Jean Ann); his siblings-in-law, Rita Kay Mack (Beane) and Dr. Hobert Mack; his grandchildren, Blake Parsley (Mary Kendall Durrance) of Atlanta, GA, Shannon Martin (Russell) of Los Angeles, CA, MacKayla Boggs (Josh Mena) of Charleston, WV, Austin Parsley of Charlotte, NC and Parker Boggs of Charleston, WV; and his great grandchildren, Avery and Eli Mena.

Because of Paul's love of gospel music, in lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to South.
