It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Paul Heidt (Charleston, West Virginia), born in Gadsden, Alabama, who passed away on February 20, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Morrison Heidt and Edward Heidt, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Sharon McGloshen; his children, Kathryn Ellis (Reuben) and Daniel (Diane); his grandchildren, Felicia, Emma, Jayden, Cooper and Dehlia; and his brothers, Alan (Alice) and Sid (Melinda). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, as per Doug's instructions (unsurprisingly), in the form of taking a child fishing. Donations may also be made to The FPC Hope Center, a nonprofit whose mission is to assist young adults in successfully transitioning out of foster care.
