We are sad to announce that on August 25, 2018, at the age of 72, Oliver Leo Pettry Jr. (Charleston, West Virginia), born in Raleigh, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Sr and Oliver Leo Pettry, Sr. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Marea Clement (Eric) of Aurora, IL and Brian Berkley (Michelle) of Albany, OR; and his siblings, Sharon Elkins of Calhan, CO, Carolyn Bowman of Norton, VA, Danny Pettry (Linda) of Staunton, VA and Michael Pettry of Charleston. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; faithful companion of 12 years, his chocolate lab, "Lucy"; friends.
Burial with veterans graveside rites will be 1p.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley In lieu of flowers – the family suggests donations may be made in memory of Leo to: St. George Orthodox Cathedral, P.O. Box 2044, Charleston, West Virginia 25327.
