He is survived by: his wife Dawn Hunter; his children, Melvin Stewart Hunter, Jr. and Mandy Starr Skeens; his grandchildren, Zachary Hunter, Savannah Hunter, Hunter Skeens, Haven Skeens and Holden Skeens; his sister-in-law Darlina; his sister Charlotte Harper; his siblings-in-law, Thomas Harper, Dennis Davis and Delcy Davis; and his mother-in-law Thelma Davis. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
