He was predeceased by: his father Leonard Ivan "Buddy" Bailey; and his brother Robert D. "Bob" Bailey. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Johnson Bailey; his wife Janie Coffman Bailey; his sons, James Richard "Jack" Bailey and Aaron Marshall Bailey (Megan); his sister Marlene Black; his sister-in-law Belva Bailey; his grandsons, Alexander Bailey, Ethan Bailey of St. Albans, Campbell Bailey and Asher Bailey of Sissonville; his brother-in-law Roger L. Waldeck of Hot Springs, Virginia; his nephews, Roger Lee Waldeck III (Shannan) of Hot Springs, Virginia, Jesse Dickens (Kristi) and Jeremy Dickens of Coopers Town; and his niece Amy Katherine Walton of Burlington.
