She was predeceased by: her parents, George H. Sr. Stafford and Mellissa J. Winters Stafford; her husband Elvin S. Alford, Jr.; her siblings, Lissie Egnor and George "Sonny" Stafford, Jr.; and her grandsons, Jeremy, Marc and Michael.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Sparkes of South Charleston, Margie Childress (Robert) of North Carolina, David Alford of South Charleston and Terry Alford (Tereasa) of Sod; and her sister Candy Good (Bob). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren.
