He is survived by: his wife Pearl Thompson; his children, Gennet Thompson of Florida and Hailu Thompson of Virginia; his daughter-in-law Eileen Thompson; and his grandchildren, Evan and Callie Thompson.
Although he was fighting a nine-year battle with Alzheimer's Disease, he finally succumbed to complications from COVID-19.
