She was predeceased by: her parents, Jiechang Chen of China and Wuzhu Kuang; her grandparents, James and Lauanis Sheets; her father-in-law Donald M. Sheets; her brothers, Zhaolun Kuang and Zhaoxing Kuang Zhoming; and her stepson Jeremy Sheets.
She is survived by: her husband John James Sheets of Campbells Creek; her daughter Aiyi Yu; her stepchildren, John Sheets II of Charleston, Tierra Sheets of Charleston and Shana Hudnall of Charleston; and her mother-in-law Gertrude M. Sheets of Charleston. She is also survived by four step grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
