He was predeceased by: his parents, Lovell Woods and Mattie Wolfe Woods; and his siblings, Gene, Bob, Butch, Jimmy, Mary Ann and Norma.

He is survived by: his wife Suzanne King Woods; his sons, Greg Woods (Sherri), Tony Woods and Rod Woods (Sara); and his brothers, Tommy and Buck.
