It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lafayette Marcum (Charleston, West Virginia), who passed away on September 23, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Robert Marcum; and his stepson Marshall Burke. He is survived by: his wife Maxine Burke; his children, Jeanne Marcum Gerlach (Roger), Stephen Marcum (Ann) and Elizabeth Marcum Parker (Betsy); his stepchildren, Dale Burke (Becky), Mike Burke (Susan) and Trish Toomer (Sandy); and his daughter-in-law Betty Burke. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lafayette's honor to the MD Anderson Cancer Center for Leukemia Research.
