Judy L. Shalhoup Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Judy L. Shalhoup of Charleston, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 24, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Shalhoup and Mary Moses Shalhoup; her sister Carolyn; her significant other William E. Mainella; and her in-law Victoria Walker.

She is survived by: her in-laws, Alphonse, Angelina Mainella, Anthony and Marion Mainella; her nieces, Diane and Susan Walker of New Jersey; her cousin Sharon Hosack (Harold); her friend Jackie Zakaib; and her close friend Debra Donald. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

While Judy loved flowers and they are welcome, she wished memorial contributions be made to St. George Orthodox Cathedral, PO Box 2044, Charleston, WV 25327; The Shalhoup/Mainella Family Memorial Fund of the Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation, P.O. Box 3041, Charleston, WV 3041; or to a charity of your choice. Judy was a longtime supporter of The Wounded Warrior Project, Disabled American Veterans, The USO, the VFW, International Orthodox Christian Charities, FOCUS, the Gary Sinise Foundation, and many other charitable organizations.
