He was predeceased by: his parents, Voyd Byrd and Losia Jones Byrd; his wife Charlotte Byrd; his son Cody Gene Byrd; his grandson Cody Gene Byrd, Jr.; his great grandchild Joshua Adam Byrd, II; and his brothers, Julius, Charles and Tommy Byrd.
He is survived by: his daughter Robin Nasby (Robert) of Cross Lanes; his daughter-in-law Mary Byrd-Burkhart of St. Albans; his brother Richard Byrd of Deltona, FL; and his grandchildren, Jesse Nasby, Amanda Smith, Mary Beth Monsour, Jenny Jo Smith and Joshua Byrd. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
