He was predeceased by: his brother Dallas Gene Townsend (Shirley); and his sister-in-law Lois Elaine Townsend. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Tammy L. George and Roger A. Bird (Carolyn); his grandsons, Brandon L. George and Zachary D. Bird; and his wife Betty Jo.
