He was predeceased by: his parents, William John and Jewel Dean Bennett; and his siblings, Cynthia, Brad and Joseph Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Carla Bennett; his children, John Bennett (Stacie) and Melia Toney (Wes) of Charleston; his grandchildren, Teegan and Tatum Toney; and his sister Vickie Shannon of Belington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
