With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Henry Mooney (Charleston, West Virginia), who passed away on March 10, 2021 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Rosemarie Mooney; his parents, John W. Mooney and Myrtle M. Mooney; his siblings, Clarence, Roy, Lucille, Marceline, Deloris and Jane; his granddaughter Jennifer Null; and his stepson H. O. Campsey.
He is survived by: his wife Velva Mooney; his children, Katharina Mooney (Brian Johnson), John Mooney (Jo Mooney), Willi Mooney (Bea Mooney) and Rose A. Mooney; his stepchildren, Terry Dunkel, Susan Goodwin (John) and Okey Cottrill; his grandchildren, Gary P. Gunno and Daren Mooney; his great grandchildren, Ranen Mooney, Aiden Mooney and Abigail Mooney; and his siblings, Douglas Mooney (Debra), Darrell Mooney, Hazel Jordan (Carl), Ruby Pardue, Jean Moore, Della Zelaska, Barbara Mooney, Brenda Brackenridge and Carolyn Carrier. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and step grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Tony's memory to The Forks of Coal Foundation would be appreciated.
