He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Ernest Clark and Mary Elizabeth Bibby Clark; his former wife Gail Henderson Clark Anderson; and his brother James "Jimmy" Clark. He is survived by: his siblings, Frances Clark and Robert Clark of Ohio; his children, Laura Johnson (Greg) of New Jersey and Brian Clark (Pamela) of West Virginia; his grandchildren, Gavin, Chloe and Ava; and his caregiver Elizabeth Hancock.
