She was predeceased by: her parents, George Valkenburg and Catherine Van Valkenburg; her husband Theodore A. Platz, Jr.; and her siblings, George Van Valkenburg, Anne Fletcher, Arlene Van Valkenburg and John Van Valkenburg.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Topp (Charles) of Charleston, Kevin Platz of Cologne, Ted Platz, III of Newport, R. I. and Stephen Platz (Melissa Doty) of Charleston; and her grandchildren, Graham of Charleston, Mary Catherine of Charleston, Elizabeth Platz of Charleston and Ronald Topp of Charleston.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Snodgrass Funeral Home (4122 MacCorkle Ave SW, Charleston, WV 25309). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
