With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jo Ann Wilkinson Melton Petry (Charleston, West Virginia), who passed away on September 13, 2019 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Wilkinson and Ruby Gladys Pritt Wilkinson; her former husband Howard "Frank" Melton; her son Edward Lee Melton; her sisters, Betty Jane Summers of Kelly's Creek, Mary Lou Kelly of Kelly's Creek and Peggy Sue Hammack of Kelly's Creek; her stepson-in-law Rodney Dorsey; and her daughter-in-law Lili Melton (Jerry).
She is survived by: her husband Leonard Petry; her stepchildren, Gene Petry and Debbie Dorsey; her children, Dorothy Melton Clark (Darrell), Marie Melton Underwood (David), James Melton (Cindy), Linda Melton Thomas (Mike) and Jerry Melton (Esmeralda); and her brother Marvin Wilkinson. She is also survived by grand-children, several great grand children and many nieces and nephews, along with extended family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Witcher Baptist Church, in her memory, 2206 East DuPont Avenue, Belle, WV 25015.
