He was predeceased by: his parents, Winfred "Lucky" Gieseke and Mary Besaw. He is survived by: his wife Ann; his daughter Kristin Ann Allen (Shawn); his granddaughter Taylor Allen of Blacksburg; his sister-in-law Charlotte Baldwin (Nathaniel); his nephews, Chuck Baldwin (Kim), Matt Baldwin (Lori), Charlie, Simon, Gavin and Spencer; and his siblings, Robert (Sig) of Spokane Washington, George Gieseke (Cathy), Jeanette (Kurt) of Yakima and Jayne Walker of Yakima.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Wounded Warrior Project at Woundedwarriorproject.org and to the First United Methodist Church of South Charleston by mail to 905 Glendale Ave. South Charleston, WV 25303.
