With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Schles of Charleston, West Virginia, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 22, 2021 at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jean Schles to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Wilby and Ruth McCaffrey Wilby Hall; her husband Dr. Marvin Schles; and her brother William Wilby Jr. (Natalie). She is survived by: her siblings, Ruth Hitchman, Daniel Wilby (Sue), Patrick Wilby, James Wilby (Janice) and Francis Hall; her sons, David Schles (Judy Hamilton) of Charleston, Barry Schles of Pittsburgh and Stephen Schles (Silke) of Germany; her grandchildren, Anna Schles of Morgantown, Maximilian Schles of Germany and Alexandria Schles of Germany; and her sister-in-law Marian Melendez. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a celebration of Jean's life will be held at a future date with family members.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association in memory of Jean.
