He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Gaston Wildt and Helen Bernier Wildt; and his siblings, James Wildt and Mimi Pitts. He is survived by: his wife Karen Wildt; his brother Dick Wildt (JoAnn); his sister-in-law Sheri Dennis; and his children, Jay Wildt (JoAnne), Joseph Wildt (Glenna Dean), Debbie Harper (Harry) and Teri Wildt. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

“A truly unique person! Due to Jay's love of photography, my sibs & I can enjoy photos of the Berniers during the early days. Through Jay's numerous brief & cordial phone calls with me since the 1990's, I have become more acquainted with my family's history as they pertain to the Berniers. My mom always looked up to her cousin Jay. I am honored that I was able to personally visit Jay & Karen just 4 weeks prior to Jay's passing.
