He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Lee Whitney. He is survived by: his children, James E. Whitney, II of Woodstock, Nancy Hurley (Bob) of Charleston, WV, Sue Gregg Camaioni (Tony) of Goldsboro, NC and Joyce Fanning (Sam) of Charleston, WV. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandsons.
