He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus C. Butch and Mary Pizzoferrato Butch. He is survived by: his wife Frances Rasi Butch; his daughters, Maria Francesca Franck (Darren), Jaime Nichole Frampton (David) and Natalie Rose Swartz (John); his siblings, Christina Sanders (Chuck) of Elkins and David Buccini (Judith) of Pittsburgh, PA; his aunt Elaine Ware of Elkins; and his grandchildren, Vincent, Alexander, Dominic (Isaac Franck), Samuel, Gabriella (Jeffrey Frampton) and Jace (Nicholas Swartz). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donation may be made in memory of Jim to: Basilica of the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 1114 Virginia St. E. Charleston, WV 25301.
