With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Luther Smith of Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away on January 16, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lewis Smith and Amy Smith; and his wife Lillian Lucille "Lucy" Smith. He is survived by: his children, Nancy Green (Leroy) and Mark Smith (Terry Nelson); his grandchildren, Chris, Tyler Green, Sara and Cory Smith; his great grandchildren, Elaina Green and Olivia Garcia; his sister Virginia Wehrle; and his cousin Carolyn Brammer Morrison.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
