Though James Lovell may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Monroe and Rushie Alice Boggess Haynes; and his sisters, Maxine King of Tampa, Lorene Walker of Tampa, Linda Reynolds of Tampa, Beverly King of Charleston and Velma Harkins of Clayton, Georgia..
He is survived by: his wife Barbara McClanahan-Haynes; his daughter Sarah (Chrissy Dalton-Haynes) of Poca; his brother Keith (Kay) of Charleston; and his caregiver Darlene Strokes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews who he thought of as his own children.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to HospiceCare and the Dementia Society of America.
