It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James E. Duncan of Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away on September 3, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Earnest Duncan; and his siblings, David (Hallie), Denver (Raymona), Raymond (Delores), Melvin (Peggy) and Agnes Williams (Cecil).
He is survived by: his wife Josie Duncan; his children, Bonnie Schulz (Clark), Brenda Dyer (Fred), Michael Duncan (Shirley), Darryl Duncan (Shelly) and Curtis Duncan (Melissa); and his sister Majorie Jones (Ronald). He is also survived by four grandchildren; two step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in his honor to Loudendale Freewill Baptist Church, 7003 Kanawha State Forest Drive, Charleston, WV 25314.
