It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jackson Friend of Charleston, West Virginia, born in Ivydale, West Virginia, who passed away on April 21, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Friend and Eva Friend; and his siblings, Edna Bell Scott, Norma Marion, Lloyd, Lee, Howard and Hubert Friend.
He is survived by: his wife Penny Friend; his children, Brenda Gossett (John), Joyce Namey (David) and Doug Friend (Kim); his grandchildren, Andrea Goff, Chris Namey (Hannah), Anna Sculley (Matt), Jonathan Gossett (Sarah) and Rebekah Rodriguez (Matt); his great grandchildren, Micah, Daniel Goff, Alethia, Lauren Namey, Aubrey, Livi, David Sculley, Tommy, Ellie, Tallulah Gossett and Leah Rodriguez; and his brother Garrie Friend.
