He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur T. Boggess and Elma Peterson; his siblings, Vivian, Ted and Christie; his son Jackie E. Boggess, Jr.; his son-in-law Sergeant Major Russell W. (Retired); his close friend Nancy J. Akers; and also, Tina Estep-Bowles and Russell Akers.
He is survived by: his brother Richard; and his children, Colonel Corrina M. (Retired), Boggess, Roserita M. McDaniel, Denise Stratton and Scooter Akers.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home (1325 W Washington St, Charleston, WV 25302). The inurnment will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at the Cunningham Memorial Park (815 Cunningham Ln, St Albans, WV 25177). A burial will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at the same location.
