He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Rabel and Maude Toney Rabel; his wives, Violet and Betty; his son Richard; and his siblings, Charles Rabel and Barbara Green.

He is survived by: his sons, Lane (Susan), Ronnie (Teresa), Terry (Hazel) and Chuck (Anita); and his siblings, Betty Curry Hartwell (Charles) and Danny Rabel (Libby). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 8, great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
