I have fought a good fight, I finished my course, I have kept the faith" 2 Timothy 4:7 HOBERT "BUD" WARREN WESTFALL, 67, of Charleston, formerly of Spencer, went home to be with our Lord on June 14, 2018, following a 28-year battle with heart disease. He was born on August 29, 1950, in Harmony, West Virginia to the late Lonnie Hobert and Martha Gandee Westfall. Bud retired from B & C Roofing and Remodeling, Inc. as the owner and general contractor. He loved sports of every kind and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, Cleveland Browns, Duke University and West Virginia University. He also enjoyed a good NASCAR race cheering on any member of the Earnhardt family. He loved to watch The Andy Griffith Show and could recite every word from every episode. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and was a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Connie Huffman Westfall and his beloved cat, Gracie Lynn of Charleston; five children, Tina Payne (Jr), Bobby Hively both of Charleston, Monica Fides (Ronald) and Michael Westfall (Diana) of Ohio, and Elizabeth Westfall of Parkersburg; and ten grandchildren, Andrew Goodwin, Brooklyn Hively, Miranda Payne, Tyler Payne, Morgan Hamilton, Marc Pratt, Lonnie Westfall, Wyatt Westfall, Andrew Ryan and Kyle Ryan; and twelve great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Brenda Tatterson (David) and Linda Little of Spencer, and Delores Harper of Grantsville; three aunts Betty Mills and Dorothy Mills of Parkersburg and Barbara Fields of Harmony; a special nephew, Jeff Harper (Kathryn); Jeff's children, Corey Harper of Nutter Fort, Josh Harper of Charleston, and Sarah Bellamy of Hurricane; a special friend, Jack Parkin (Bobbi) of Spencer; and special neighbors Scott and Terri Norman of Charleston. In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his nephew, Tommy Waggoner. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. James Stanton, and all the employees of Stanton Cardiology Group for the support and devotion they contributed to Bud's health care through the last three decades; and Lea Ann Richards of Walton and Dreama Lenn of Dunbar for their comforting support through Bud's illness and passing. A celebration to honor Bud's life will be held, Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at Big Bottom Missionary Baptist Church located at 1259 Campbells Creek Drive, Charleston, West Virginia, 25306. The Service will begin at 2:00 with Pastor Fred Christian presiding. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Bud's favorite animal rescue Grand Cat Central from which he adopted his loving cat. Donations may be made by mail to 580 Stratton Street Logan, West Virginia 25601 or through PayPal by following the link on the official Grand Cat Central Facebook page.
