It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hildred Nadine Lanham Ashby of Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away on December 29, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Gervis "Gove" Anderson; her husbands, Marvin Lanham and Alvin Ashby; and her sisters, Phyllis Anderson, Freddie Anderson, Isabel "Iby" Scragg and Joyce Carpenter.
She is survived by: her sister Elizabeth Vance (Charles); her nieces and nephews, Bethan Daley (Keith) of Ohio, Charla Magna (Mark) of Ohio, Chad Carpenter (Aimee) of Charleston and Nathan Carpenter (Laura) of Charleston; and her stepdaughters, Cynthia Ashby of Ohio, Sonya Ashby of Parkersburg and Reni King (Dennis) of North Carolina.
