He was predeceased by: his parents, Brady Hartwell and Aylie Hartwell; and his half-brother Wade Williams. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sue Hartwell; his sons, Dwayne Hartwell and Brian (Rhonda Hartwell); his sisters, Nettie Rose Turley (Jim) and Verna Jean Boggess (Howard); and his sister-in-law Kay Deel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
